A triplex is a home spread over three levels connected by one or more internal staircases. This layout is often found in renovated Brussels townhouses or converted upscale buildings.
From an EPC standpoint, a triplex requires a full inspection of each level: insulation, window frames, heating, and often the roof if the top level is there.
With three levels to inspect, a triplex visit generally lasts 90 to 100 minutes. The auditor must measure each room, check insulation on every floor and photograph all relevant façades.
